GREAT CHISHILL WINDMILL TRUST CIO

A not-for-profit organisation and registered charity dedicated to saving our windmill

The windmill at Chishill is one of only eight open trestle post mills in the UK. In 2011 it was in urgent need of restoration to save it from collapse and preserve it for future generations. Thanks to the Great Chishill Windmill Trust it has been saved.

The Windmill Open Days have now finished for the season. If you would like a tour, please contact us [email protected]

If you missed the sails of the windmill lighted for the Christmas period (thanks to Claire, Scott and Dan the electrician.) Then this drone view shows you what they were like https://youtu.be/AakNZzOKZnA

Details of the Great Chishill Windmill Photography Competition can be found here.

Did you know you can support the windmill by subscribing to the Cambridge Community Lottery? Details are here.

The windmill hosted a drone expert who mapped the windmill and produced an amazing digital 3D model. You can manipulate the image and zoom in and out using your computer controls. Let us know what you think by leaving or emailing us a comment.
