The mill worked until 1951 and many people have fond memories of the sails turning. Below are a number of photographs from the past and present to show why we must save this icon of the English countryside for future generations.
Four photographs taken in 1939 by a Mr Glazier. Repairs had been carried out in 1938 to reinforce the trestle and cover much of the buck with corrugated iron.
